When a worker is injured, it's important that they
seek prompt medical attention. Follow up care that
is deemed necessary should to be pursued to facilitate
a speedy recovery. Our Nurse Case Managers are experienced
in New York State Workers' Compensation medical guidelines
and will lead the injured worker through process that
can appear confusing and cumbersome. To insure a smooth
transition for the injured employee back to work,
your organization will have the following:
A Dedicated Nurse Case Manager for your
organization.
Initial Case Management, including: injured
worker contact, early intervention nurse case review
and communication by claims and accident prevention
Working with the injured worker, the nurse
case manager will assist
in the coordination of necessary medical treatment
to expedite the worker's
recovery and ultimate goal of returning to work.
Provides injured worker with information
about medication, diagnostic testing, and
treatment plans.
While the injured workers' doctor will
still prescribe medication and recommend
treatment, questions that the injured worker may
have after appointment
can be answered by the nurse.
The nurse is often more successful in obtaining
more timely appointments
with medical
specialists, physical therapists, and diagnostic
imaging companies.
